Iceberg water is one of the purest sources of freshwater on the planet. The ice was created by snow falling ten thousand years ago before any human sources of pollution existed and haven fallen as snow has not accumulated any minerals from surrounding environment. It is so clean, it could be directly be connected to mains water, but for legal reasons, still requires filtering.
Currently, all methods for harvesting icebergs are very labor intensive and slow, requiring teams of people to net and crane small chunks of ice into boats or use excavators to remove small pieces of ice from small icebergs.
Aurora water has developed a novel inflatable drydock we call an Iceberg Transport Vessel, that can capture a range of iceberg sizes, in tandem with this, we are developing Iceberg cutting methods so we can combine standard sized ITV's, with reliable cutting systems.
By combining a system that can cut icebergs into streamlined shapes we can build a fleet of ITV's to source large quantities of drinking water
There are forty billion tones of ice calving of Greenland and seven hundred billion in the Antarctic annually. Even a percentage of this resource can make a difference in global water security.
Iceberg water is currently sold as ultra premium brand product by Svalbaroi, Berg water and iceberg water.
Global beverage market is currently 2 Trillion dollars. Many beverage makers go to great lengths to provide the best quality product which starts at sourcing high quality water.
We look to work with Canadian and Greenland governments to meet full environmental compliance
Iceberg ice provides a potentially large side revenue stream. The ice contains many bubbles of compressed air, creating a natural evanescent that acts as a type of counterfeit protection.
By developing a system to supply icebergs at scale for bottled water and beverages, we hope to mature the technology into something that could act to provide water security in a world with shrinking water resources.

Aurora Water is developing the first large scale system for harvesting icebergs.
